بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
A faith-based Muslim brotherhood fostering spiritual growth, blessings and unity among Muslims — headquartered in Abuja, with branches across Nigeria and beyond.
Learn about us Find a branchThe Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria (ISBON) is a faith-based organisation established to foster spiritual growth, blessings and unity among Muslims. Since its inception in 1996, ISBON has been dedicated to creating an environment for spiritual development (Ibadah), devotion, As-salatu upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Du'a and community service. With its National Headquarters in Abuja, ISBON has inspired Muslims to deepen their faith, build a stronger connection with Allah, and live the values of Islam in their daily lives.
To be the vanguard Muslim society in the propagation of Islam, epitomising the true brotherhood instructed by Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ).
To work together with ideal Muslim organisations in calling mankind to the truth, enjoining goodness and forbidding vice, in a manner that inspires every member to support one another and see the Ummah as one — ultimately to gain Allah's pleasure here and in the Hereafter.
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ
"The believers are but brothers."
Towards the realisation of our mission, ISBON serves Muslims in the Federal Capital Territory and across the nation through these activities.
The core of our society: coming together every Sunday for prayers, invocation, supplication and benediction upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
The weekly khutbah is delivered in Arabic, Yoruba and Hausa concurrently, with a preceding Nasiha in English, so every worshipper can benefit.
Classes for adult members to learn to read the Qur'an and speak basic Arabic, plus ISBON schools combining Islamic and modern education.
Hosted annually by the Women's Wing the day after Eid al-Fitr — a beacon of hope and support for indigent women in the society.
The Youth Wing marks the Islamic New Year with lectures, Qur'an memorisation and Islamic quiz competitions, awards and scholarships.
Sponsoring deserving members, at headquarters and across all branches, to perform the sacred pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah.
A biennial gathering of members from Nigeria and the diaspora for lectures, spiritual mentoring, devotion and brotherhood.
Our "House of Wealth" — collected and disbursed transparently to provide emergency aid, education and healthcare support, and care for orphans and widows.
ISBON keeps spiritual leadership separate from administration. The Office of the Amir is the highest spiritual authority, while the Executive Council handles administrative matters — a system of checks and balances that keeps Islamic guidance at the heart of every decision.
A distinguished jurist from Kwara State and devoted Muslim leader, whose passion for Islam inspired him to establish ISBON.
Leading the Executive Council since 2022.
